They are used in construction of complex machinery and equipment as well as vehicles and buildings. Since mechanical stress is concentrated on these types of connection points, the integrity of fasteners is extremely important. Therefore bolts, screws and nuts are subject to strict safety requirements.

Of course, you also carry show a lot of standard products too. And you have been in business since 1967, so more than 50 years. That is outstanding. Tell us a little bit about Appian. Read MoreJapanese manufacturers build their equipment with flange bolts and nuts that are made to the JIS (Japanese Industrial Standards) standards. The specifications that define the dimensions for JIS flange bolts and nuts are JIS B1189 (flange bolts) and JIS B1190 (flange nuts).
There was a major revision to both of these specs in 2005 that resulted in a change in the wrench size (width across the flats) that JIS flange bolts and nuts are made to.
