Got Fastener Training?

by John Wachman, Managing Director, Fastener Training Institute

Fastener Training Week comes to Houston, TX, USA

The first of four Fastener Training Week (FTW), sessions for 2021 will be presented March 22 – 25 in Houston, TX, USA. The Southwest Fastener Association (SFA), will host the event and their support provides the strong foundation needed to bring FTW to a new market. Thanks to Cari Bailey, SFA Executive Director, who was instrumental in working with her Board of Directors to support the FTW Houston event. Our own Beth VanZandt will coordinate and organize this class, which is coproduced by The Industrial Fasteners Institute (IFI).

The three remaining FTW sessions are in Cleveland, OH, USA, May 3 – 6, 2021; Chicago, IL, USA, August 16 – 20; and Los Angeles, CA, USA, November 29 – December 3, 2021. The fourth session was added to increase our reach and support the growing demand for Fastener Training Week. FTW is one of our most popular courses and features learning labs, interactive exercises and quizzes to reinforce learning. This class is taught by leading industry experts Salim Brahimi, IFI Director of Engineering Technology; Laurence Claus, NNi Training and Consulting); and John Medcalf, Principal Engineer, Peak Innovations Engineering. The week-long class also includes plant tours of manufacturing, secondary processes and testing facilities. Students that complete the course and pass the final exam will earn our Certified Fastener Specialist, CFS, designation.
