To address the increased focus on achieving light weighting and cost savings in automotive and other major industries, new technological advancements continue to be developed in the use of mixed materials and surface finishes. Under these changes, topcoats for electroplated surface finishes will continue to play an integral role for controlling the thread and bearing surface friction of fasteners in joining these different materials and finishes together.
