A worn-out machine can negatively affect your rolled part quality and die life, and can increase your rework/scrap rate regardless of the accuracy of your setup. Band-aids and temporary fixes only prolong the inevitable and can end up costing you more money in the long run. The level of wear or damage will be proportional to the repair and rebuild cost.
