Reed Machinery, Inc. is the OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for Reed, Hartford and Waterbury machines. Although Reed has been producing machines since (only) 1943, Waterbury has been in operation since 1851! Because these brands have been producing machines for decades, thousands of machines were shipped to fastener manufacturers around the world. And because the core technology of the thread roller is still the movement of a blank part through dies to form the threads, many of these sturdy machines are still capable of producing fasteners.
