New Generation Hose Clamp
The spring type clamps (wire or band) are an improvement over the worm gear, in that the spring clamp provides constant compression on the hose fitting connection. This eliminates the concerns of leaks. Problem is that the stiff ness of the spring tangs at the ends of the spring clamp require plier like tools to pull the tangs together for clamp installation or removal. And in tight or awkward clamp locations the tools can prevent easy installation or removal of the clamp.
